In most cases, check the area where you want to take a photograph before you begin taking shots. While you may find great picture opportunities out and about in your own neighborhood, you are more likely to find the most unusual, unique, and stunning photo opportunities a little further away from the city or suburbs, often closer to a more natural environment.
Don‘t be shy about ensuring that the desirable element of contrast is added to your photo. An example of contrast would be a red leaf hanging beneath a tree limb shot with an expanse of blue sky as a natural backdrop.
To make a photo even more interesting, you could attempt shots with the leaf in the center of the shot and position yourself so that the leaf takes up almost the whole frame, part of the frame, or look like a normal sized leaf exposed against a vast expanse of blue sky. .
Focusing on a leaf in an off-center locale, once again, can generate interesting results.
